How to Cancel/Void an Order

Overview

Before Send: Clear

Cancel Items before sending

  • clear items from Order list
  • sample Scenario
    • accidentally entered wrong Item/quantity
    • accidentally entered duplicate Items
  1. go to Order

  2. slide Items to be cancelled to the left
    unsent Items will be in blue
  3. tap Clear

After Send: Void

Cancel Orders after kitchen ticket has been sent

  • Void requires User to complete
  • additional kitchen ticket with Void item will be printed out
  • Inventory adjustment available
  • Best Practice
    • check with kitchen before voiding
  • Sample scenario
    • accidentally sent wrong Item/quantity
    • guest changed their mind after ordering
  1. go to Order

  2. slide Items to be cancelled to the left
    sent Items will have check mark on left of Item name
  3. tap Void

  4. if Function Control is turned on, Select User or enter PIN
    (go to What is Function Control: How to Log Users for details)
  5. select reason to Delete, then tap OK

  6. if Inventory is turned ON on App, tap OK to adjust or CANCEL to skip adjustment
    (go to What is Inventory: Update Inventory when Voided for details)

Cancel/Void Set Menu

Cancel/Void Items within Set Menu

  • Set Menu can be canceled/voided as a whole, or per item
  • sample Scenario
    • accidentally added extra Item to a X-course meal
    • guest is requesting to change Sides (e.g. coleslaw to mashed potato)
  1. go to Order

  2. find Set Menu to cancel/void
    • whole Set Menu: slide Set Menu name to left, then tap Clear/Void All Set Items

    • Item only: slide Item within Set Menu name to left, then tap Clear/Void

  3. go to After Send: Void for void steps
